Personal note:
A few years ago I heard various friends and acquaintances ask the piercing
question: "How can God stay His hand from our America? Are we not approaching
levels of sin as Sodom and Gommorah?"
I don't hear that comment any longer for it seems we are no longer
protected from the national consequences of blatant sin - even the sinful
choices and leadership of our President.
Just this morning I read the following account from Family Research Council
where President Obama named "... Kevin Jennings, founder of the Gay,
Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), to be Assistant Deputy Secretary
for the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools. GLSEN is the chief national
advocacy group promoting policies to force affirmation of homosexuality in
schools, beginning in kindergarten. Jennings wrote the foreword for a book,
"Queering Elementary Education," which among other things praises
teaching masturbation to a 7-year-old girl. ..."

Secondly, earlier today, on the White House webpage we see that
Mr. Obama has named June LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER PRIDE
MONTH, 2009.

In the presidential proclamation, President Barack H. Obama states "The
LGBT rights movement has achieved great progress," Obama states in the
official proclamation, "but there is more to be done. LGBT youth should
feel safe to learn without the fear of harassment, and LGBT families and seniors
should be allowed to live their lives with dignity and respect."
The proclamation, released earlier today, credits the LGBT movement with being
a factor in more Americans who ascribe to those groups "living their
lives openly today than ever before."
He uses the proclamation to emphasize LGBT-related initiatives that he intends
to pursue in the future -- both domestically and internationally.
"I have joined efforts at the United Nations to decriminalize homosexuality
around the world," he states. "Here at home, I continue to support
measures to bring the full spectrum of equal rights to LGBT Americans."
With the efforts to push through "Hate Crimes" legislation,
what happens to those who uphold the Bible, God's Holy Word?
What happens to America as President Obama leads us into the realm of the
legitimization of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexualism and transgenderism?
If he's a Christian, as he has stated, he is not unaware of God's word regarding
Sodom and Gommorrah. All the more concerning having a form of knowledge but
denying it is weighty business.
One oft quoted portion of Scripture down through hundreds and hundreds of
years by people who honored God's Word in word and deed is taken from the
wisdom book, Proverbs.
"For the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom."
Proverbs 1:7
The following passage from Romans contains a clear word regarding men
or women who substitute the truth for a lie.
Romans 1:21-29
"For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks
to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts
were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory
of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals
and creeping things.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the
dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth
about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the
Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women
exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the
men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion
for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves
the due penalty for their error.
And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a
debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner
of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder,
strife, deceit, maliciousness."
In closing, God hates sin. He is not a toothless lion but rather
a loving and Holy God who judges and will judge wickedness.
This kind of proclamation made by President Barack Obama is a proclamation
that promotes and encourages wickedness.
As a Christian, I could not let this news go without expressing my horror
at what he has done.
I Peter 5:8

like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
