Our take action links to email Lowe’s over their advertising practices has generated some of the greatest response we have yet seen with our action email feature. Lowe’s had advertised on ABC’s new programs: “The Gates” and “Scoundrels.” Both of these programs feature lascivious sex scenes and normalization of the occult and crime.
As Lowe’s began to receive our expressions of concern regarding advertising on those particular shows, they sent an email response to us directly that startled us. (Continue Reading…)

Sunday night ABC premiered two summer replacement shows – “Scoundrels” and “The Gates.” The first is sleazy, the second, sickening. Both are repulsive and neither is worth viewing. However it is important to know what ABC is spewing across the airwaves, impacting the culture at large and as a result, you and me and our families.

Sample Letter:
As you advertise on the new ABC show Scoundrels, you foster themes that damage our culture at large, and ultimately my family and yours. Besides the twisted views of right and wrong glorified by this show, the episode which your company sponsored included an explicit sexual scene between a high school student and a teacher. Sex between adults and minors is something to be condemned – not promoted as enticing. Is this what you wish to associate your product with?
Please remember that as your advertising dollars support the debased ideas portrayed on these shows, you are damaging the families who have supported your company. As you advertise, I ask you to use your corporate influence in ways that build up, not tear down, our society. I look forward to your response.
