I think it’s time that this country grow up from adolescence to adulthood and say “Enough!” to Sports Illustrated! Why? Haven’t we had enough with their Playboy issue (isn’t that what the “swimsuit” issue is)? It was a contrived upshot in the first place and has gotten totally out of hand, having absolutely nothing to do with sports or anything like unto it. It is purely pornographic. It has no place in decent society and should, if Sports Illustrated insists on recapitulating it, be ousted to the same forums that other licentious garbage is kept.

Thank you Bill for the good reminder for us to “hang in there” in our little corners to continue to make a stand for decency. I just finished a letter I wrote today to the Walmart manager where I shop regularly to express my concerns about the Sports Illustrated magazine being put at the checkout lanes in his store – at the eye level of an elementary school age child.
