Last week an 89 year old senior saint came into our office - with earnestness she asked if we would help her launch a petition to the President of the United States.
Anita stated that in 2009 President Obama had taken a low profile approach to the National Day of Prayer that has been favorably and nearly unanimously recognized by preceding U.S. Presidents.

There will always be something very special about having people gather together uniting their hearts in one accord in a common place – a church, in front of the City Hall, around a flag pole at the high school, etc.
My dear friend Don Wildmon added impetus to the National Day of Prayer back in the late 80s by coming up with the institution of “Meet at City Hall” on the National Day of Prayer. He wanted to keep before Christians the importance of Christian involvement with our government – praying for it and staying involved as salt and light, running for office, voting and PRAYING.
