Tuesday the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in a landmark case regarding television decency standards that could open the floodgates of filth even wider on network television.
The case is FCC v. Fox Television Stations, 10-1293. While many appreciate the “fair and balanced” reporting of Fox News, it’s important to remember this is the same corporation which brings us vulgar programming that attacks our values on the regular Fox Network.

Tuesday night FOX TV aired the much-hyped episode of Glee, entitled “The First Time.” As we reported last week, this episode centered on a high school girl losing her virginity with her boyfriend as well as two high school homosexual boys also having sex for the first time.
Some reviewers lauded this episode glorifying teenage sex for its “tasteful” depiction. Such as this writer from tvfanatic.com: “…if you tune in to be taken deeper into the teenager world, to watch a show that sometimes tries to deliver a message more than a joke, to have a serious experience… then you probably have a satisfied smile on your face right about now. …

The cultural waters our youth are swimming in are more than murky – a more apt description would be raw sewage.
There is one wildly popular show watched by millions of teens, preteens, and adults, which, on the surface, would seem fairly innocuous. The program is “Glee” on the Fox Network. Glee garners millions of viewers each week who tune in to watch this show about a group of high-schoolers who are part of a modern-day glee club. Each week a certain theme is introduced upon which the group plans a musical performance.
