“participating with sinners”

May 27, 2007

“… Every free page has ads that are controlled by myspace not the page owner. I have proof of thousands of Victoria Secret ads on Christian pages on myspace. Jesus walked among the sinners, but he did not contribute financially or in any other way to their immoral behaviors. …”

Personal word

As we have been speaking to our concern regarding myspace.com we hear from a few of you this whole thought that you need to go where the sinners are in order to minister to them. But, would Jesus have adolescences go into a strip club to share the Gospel?

We are very familiar with the Gospels. We recognize that Jesus ministered to those who did not know Him – personally, relevantly and in the highways and byways of life.
However …

There is a very big difference between “walking among sinners” and “participating” with sinners. A Christian who has a page on myspace is actually supporting myspace financially. Every free page has ads that are controlled by myspace not the page owner. There is evidence of thousands of Victoria Secret ads on Christian pages on myspace. Jesus walked among the sinners, but he did not contribute financially or in any other way to their immoral behaviors. Any Christian who uses or has a page on myspace is in fact helping to financially support the immoral behavior of the “sinners” and therefore are not only tolerating but supporting the behaviors. That makes a big difference!

Please tell me how a Christian page can witness when it has a Victoria Secret, or a Trojan Condom or a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit ad? It isn’t our judgment that is important, but is this pleasing and honoring to our Lord and Master. Are we holy as He is holy?

God bless!

Our July bulletin insert
Oh that many churches would make this information available to their people that moms and dads and their children would be urged to seek “higher ground” and not give place for Satan.
