Any of you familiar with Chuck Colson, Del Tackett and Robert George (to name a few), know that these are individuals who speak into our lives with great vigor, intelligence and spiritual insight and strength.
By now most of you are aware that Chuck Colson and others are really trying to wake us all up to the need for us to take a look at the ethical breakdown that we seemingly are seeing at all levels.

You’ve probably seen it – parents who dress their young daughters in provocative clothing. An eight year old dressed to look 18. Skimpy mini-skirts, skin tight tops to accent every curve – but the problem is – she’s 8 years old! – she doesn’t have curves. Well, Abercrombie & Fitch has a solution – push-up bikini tops they marketed earlier this year for girls as young as 8.

In just a few weeks we will be commemorating the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It’s been ten years, but I, and most Americans, can remember the horror of that day vividly. I also remember the impromptu scenes of people gathering for prayer on street corners and in public parks. The televised national prayer services at the National Cathedral in DC and Yankee Stadium in New York City. The local community-wide prayer event I attended.
We as an American people sought refuge and comfort from God on that terrible day.
